If I buy a Lg900g from Net10 can I use it for Straight Talk?

Posted in Air Cards on December 2nd, 2011 by IT Dept. – 1 Comment

I’m wondering….If I buy the Lg900g from Net10 can I use it on my Straight Talk account? Trying to buy the phone, and on the Straight Talk web sight sells it with an air time card which I don’t need. Can’t find the Straight Talk version in the store. Figure if I just bought the phone without the air time card it be cheaper and I wouldn’t have a air time card I do not need.

If I purchase a plane ticket for my father, can I collect points on my aeroplan card? I wouldn’t be travelling

I am surprising my dad with a flight to jamaica, but I want to use my aeroplan card to collect points. Can I do that if I’m not actually the one travelling? If so, then I will spend extra cash to put him on air canada, otherwise I’ll purchase a cheaper flight…
thanks for anyone’s help!

Tips for planning a cheap wedding.?

Posted in Air Cards on November 23rd, 2011 by IT Dept. – 5 Comments

Ok so we have the basics down.

Along with our large wedding we are having a smaller wedding with my very close family and his families close friends and family. This is an Indian Hindu wedding to respect and honor his heritage and families faith. We have the basics down…

Rentals (tent, fans and air conditioning, china, glasses, chairs, silverware, linens, tables & dance floor)

$2,000

Caterers (they also provide chafing dishes and servers. Include appetizer, naan, parentha, 3 veg dish, 2 meat, 2 rice, and 2 dessert. Coffee, tea, and lassi)

$2,000

DJ (with Indian mc)

$950

Flowers for Mundup, and garlands

$750

Bar (open bar, sodas, and water)

$1,000

Invites (RSVP cards, and postage include.)

$350

My father is building our Mundup and fire plate for us, we are not including our clothing in the budget. This leaves only $3,500 for everything else. Ok so my question is

What can I do for favors, and centerpieces on such a tight budget (about 100
people, 10 tables)?

What is left that I am forgetting?

I should mention I am Italian American, so I really don’t know what is to be included…
Actually for the Indian DJ in northern NJ this is one of the cheapest we could find. They go from about 900-2100. So that kind of sucks.. haha

I should mention also have a photographer

Future husband is mad because he is Cheap!!?

My fiance Steve is great in almost every way.He treats me nice,is intelligent and works hard. The problem is that I think he’s cheap! He earns a really good living buying junk houses and foreclosed houses, renovating them and then either selling them or renting them out.Right now he owns over 20 units he’s renting out, plus he usually turns a house every month or so.But he just doesn’t like spending the money he makes.January we were going to my cousin’s wedding and I needed some new shoes and purse. Steve let me use his amex card and then went nuts when he found out I spent $1700 on a Marc Jacob’s bag and a pair of nice shoes. He got upset over this but a week later he spent over $3000 on an air compressor and tools and nail guns that he said he ‘needed’.I see some hypocrisy here.He says I’m spoiled because my dad bought me a car and pays my rent and utilities.I love him and don’t want to lose him,but sometimes think he is a little too frugal.

If I have a passport card how much does it cost to get a passport book?

Posted in Air Cards on November 11th, 2011 by IT Dept. – 3 Comments

I will be treveling to Mexico this summer, I am going by land so the passport card would be valid; however, I am wondering if it would be better to get the book in the long run in case I should ever go anywhere not covered by the card or need to travel by air some other time. Is it possible to have a passport card, and then later apply for the book at a cheaper rate then just getting the book?

Where can I get a customized email address without paying for internet service?

I am getting ready to dump my dial-up. Its not the company, its the bad phone lines that mess up my connection and often lock up my computer. Since I live in the sticks, I can’t get cable, DSL, or anything but mega-expensive satellite. Air cards won’t even work well here, and they are not cheap. For ebay and other services, I can’t use a free site like Yahoo or Hotmail, so I need another address. Yahoo used to have this available, but the bundled it with a business service that I don’t need or want to pay for. I would be willing to pay a small fee for a customizable email address that was at least as secure as Yahoo Mail. Any thoughts?
I plan to access this email account from work during lunch or at wi-fi hot spots.
Thanks for the reply. I know when I tried to use my Yahoo email account to register on Ebay about 5 years ago, they would not let me use my Yahoo account. However, I just changed my email address on the account, and it worked

I would like to buy airsoft guns from Hong Kong, a more reformed part of China. I live in the US and will go there for vacation. The guns are relatively cheaper there. Is it ok for me to bring it from Hong Kong to the US? My dad is an extreme traveler and has diamond, or platinum card or something like that for the airlines, would that help?
