How to set router’s IP to another country?

I have Linksys WRT160N and wanna know how to set my router’s ip to another country so that my laptop or smartphone which connects to the router (WiFi) has another country’s IP. ( I want to access some web pages and… which my country doesn’t allow me to) PLEASE DON’T REFER TO PROXY AND VPN CAUSE I’VE TRIED ALL OF THEM.

Sorry bud, thats how it works. your internet provider provides you with one of their IP addresses. unless you some how manage to get internet from another country (which you can not do) you will have to use proxies like everyone else that has those issues.

If you don’t want to do the obvious easy way, you could always move. but those are your only options.

OK I WONT REFER TO A PROXY but a proxy will do what you want, I use two very successfully. If you gave more details (e.g what country you want to pretend to be in) then that would help.

What the other guy said about your ISP is correct.

You could also find a free dialup in the other country and connect that way.

This isn’t logical. Your IP address is allocated to you by your ISP, if i were possible to change your routers IP, then you would have no internet connection, because your ISP’s network would see that IP as not being apart of their network.

The only way of doing this is going through a proxy online or downloading proxy software and runnin it on your local machine. Even doing this means you’ll risk the chance of your connection being dropped by your ISP due to a foreign IP.

Change the address you write on envelopes to “China” and see if your mail reaches you.

    omg logic….
